What a fun week this has been friends! Did you catch all the posts here at Joy In Our Home this week?
On Monday we kicked off our second annual Christmas Festival Blog Hop and I shared this 3 tiered tray and how I decorated it for the season!and you’ll never guess what it started out as! Head on over to the post to read more!
Then on Tues a bunch of us got together for a virtual cookie exchange and there were so many delicious recipes shared. Mine were these Chocolate Peppermint Biscotti and you have to try them this season.
On Wednesday I shared our Christmas Bedroom tour and showed how I add cozy touches to last all through winter.
And today I’m joining some lovely ladies for a Christmas “I DIYed That” blog hop hosted by my sweet friend Jen from Noting Grace. You’ll find the rest of the ladies sharing today at the end of my post. And if you’re stopping over from Amy at Cuter Tudor, welcome!! Aren’t her snowglobes adorable? And now come on in, warm up with a cup of hot chocolate welcome to our kitchen. This room really is the heart of our home. I’ve added some cozy touches in here that’ll last us all winter long. I love the sunlight that pours through this window and I just added a couple of little faux seedlings. I added another one tucked inside a mug and it just gives the area a little pop of color.
Our kitchen isn’t huge by any means but it serves our family well. There’s lots of cupboards and the corner pantry holds all our dry goods… just like the sign says! 🙂 A year ago when we upgraded our countertops I wanted a butcher block on the island and I love the contrast that it gives!
I tied a little bit of greenery around these glass jars and love how pretty they are!
Our jars of hot chocolate and apple cider mix are tucked into the corner beside the mug rack my husband got me for an early birthday gift! It’s been -16C (which is 3F!!) so some of those jars are almost empty! I also snuck in another little flocked tree… I hope you haven’t been keeping track of how many you see around our home!? (smile)
Now it’s time to head on over to my friend Leigh’s “A Simple and Natural Christmas Tour”… they’ve just moved into a new home and I’m excited to see what she’s done so far!
