This month my blogging friends and I are working with HomeRight Paint sprayers and shelters as  part of our Monthly DIY Challenge  If you’re new here, each month we get together with a group of super talented bloggers and we each make a project based on the same item or theme.  If you’d like to check out some of our past monthly challenges, here are some of my favorites: pumpkins, crates, stencils, upcycled items and dollar store items.

I am extremely excited to share this month’s challenge because I got to work with some amazing products!! If you paint a lot, big items or small, I cannot recommend a spray shelter enough!! That thing is amazing!

The Easiest Way To Paint a Door

Normally, if I want to paint something, I’d back the vehicles out of the garage, lay down a bunch of newspapers and then spray paint my stuff right there in the wide open. And trust me, the paint doesn’t stay just in that area. I’ve learned the hard way.

We’ve been wanting to paint our front door for quite some time now. When HomeRight approached us to try their amazing products we jumped at the chance… and no doubt, the HomeRight Spray Shelter is my new go-to tool for quick and easy spraypainting!

There are a couple of different sizes of shelters and we used the larger one as we were painting our door. There is also the Table Top one which would be perfect for smaller items. It was super easy to set up and only took a couple of minutes. We had used a different brand of paint sprayer before and one of the biggest differences we noticed was how little paint this one used. The Finish Max Fine Finish Sprayer sprayed soo beautifully and evenly! Cleanup was a breeze but only because of the Rapid Clean tool that I would totally recommend for easy clean up!

The real icing on the cake though, is our gorgeous new Schlage lock! We chose the Schlage Touch™ Keyless Touchscreen Deadbolt and Accent Lever in aged bronze finish. It was an easy choice because of the many amazing features it has. The first one, is the simple fact that yours truly doesn’t have to keep track of a key anymore. Ahem! Its so nice to know when I am rushing out the door that I don’t have to wonder if I have the house key with me! Another feature that Im sure we will put to test during our Canadian winters is, that it works with gloves as well! It has an enhanced security system which brings peace of mind! I think one of the biggest things that impressed us was the easy installation. Seriously, it took minutes to install and program! Pairing the Schlage Touch Deadbolt and Camelot Handleset together gave us the stylish look and trusted product we were looking for! We couldn’t be happier with it!

The best part of any update is looking back at the before pictures and wondering why we didn’t do this long, long ago!! Our white door blended right in with our white siding and I love the statement that our blue door makes now! We used our favorite paint, CIL for this project and we are totally in love with the Approaching Storm color!!

Your blue door is GORGEOUS! Spray painting it in the shelter is brilliant! That made it so much faster and less messy, I’m sure! Perfect color choice.

Thank you so much, Bre! I agree, that shelter is brilliant! We’ve been wanting to paint it for a while but were never sure how! We will definitely be using it lots! Thanks for stopping by! xo

What a beautiful front door! Love that blue and it pairs so perfectly with that sunny yellow wreath! Just curious, but what is that metal bit that is next to the ‘hello’ on your door? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before!

Thank you so much, Erica! Appreciate your sweet comments! That thing in the middle is an old hand-crafted doorbell! It certainly is a conversation starter! xo

I would tackle my front door! Your door is such an inspiration. With fall just around the corner it is time for a redo for my door and front porch!

We have a white door with grey brick and would like to paint our front door to match our beachy decor in the home! This colour is beautiful and I love how you used the tent and sprayer!! Can you let me know what colour you used? Thank you kindly 🙂
