And here we are with our first week of June almost complete! Even though it’s not officially summer yet, I have “all-things” summer on my mind! Everything from sitting around the campfire to water fights in the backyard to lazy days at the beach! One of the things I look forward to the most are all the fresh fruits and veggies… and herbs. I usually plant my own and today I’d like to show you my own little herb garden!
Isn’t it the cutest?
My idea is, even gardens should be pretty, right? When I saw these little galvanized pots and holder at our Dollar Tree I knew they’d look so cute on the coffee table on the deck! For only $3, I wish I would’ve grabbed another one!
Last week, Home Depot had all their herbs on for 3/$5! Usually they’re $2.50 each so that was a great deal. I could’ve bought 6 more but our summer schedule is filling up so quickly and we’ll be gone for lots of days here and there. So I didn’t want to leave too much for the lucky person who gets to water all our pots. The 3 I chose were parsley, oregano and mint.
I screwed 3 holes in the bottom of each pot for draining and added some stones to the bottom. I then added some potting soil and planted them and that’s it! Super quick and easy and I was done!
The markers I made are super easy as well! Target dollar spot to the rescue! I used mini straws as the stick part and just wrapped some craft labels around them. Using a sharpie, I labeled the herbs and done! I was going to use the mini clothes pins too but decided not too… so you won’t find them in the pictures in case you’re looking to see how I used them π
It is so handy to have them sitting on the deck and I can just clip off any I need whenever I want! I’ve already used the parsley lots … mostly for soups and garnishes.
They look delicious enough to just pick off and have a taste!
Thanks SO much for stopping by today… wishing you all a very wonderful weekend! Also, if you’re a blogger, I’d love for you to stop by our link party Your Turn To Shine and share what you’ve been up to! I’d love to check it out!

Kendra –
This little herb garden is so adorable! I wish our kitchen had enough light for a little herb garden! Thank you so much for taking the time to link up with our new party, Dream. Create. Inspire. Link! We can’t wait to see what you make this week!
Thanks, Cat! I always appreciate your sweet comments! Hope you have an awesome weekend!
Love this! Would be adorable in my kitchen window. I just bought cilantro and mint but my cilantro is struggling in the dry El Paso heat. Going to make this little planter set and put my herbs inside. Thank you!
