Good Morning Everyone!
Today, I’m excited to show you the cutest little chair makeover! A little while back a dear, old Grandma friend of ours gave us these 4 metal chairs. They were in well-used and well-loved condition and my husband and I kinda looked at each other and wondered what we’d ever do with them. And right now we’re in the middle of some deck upgrades and these chairs came to mind! With a little bit of paint, they would provide extra seating for our deck!
I gave them a good scrub with soap and water first. It was a hot day and they dried in the sun in no time at all! Here they are before…
They must have originally belonged to someone with the initials SA. It’s kind of neat how it’s stamped right through them!
I bought 4 cans of Krylon spray paint at Walmart. The colors we chose were:
This spray paint was fabulous to work with. It was a primer and paint all in one and I got excellent coverage. The first two chairs I did outside on an extremely hot day. The next two were done the next day when it wasn’t so hot and I must have 1/4 of paint left in the last two cans. (Just a heads up as it seemed like I was going to run out on the hot day!)
We gave them 2 coats and then just touched up where it needed to. I love how colorful they are now! Our little ones are already calling dibs on who gets which color! They’ll be handy just to have for extras when we have a bunch of company out on the deck… we’ve moved our dining room chairs outside when we ran out of deck chairs so these will be so handy!
and another one just because…
I think these would make such a fun photo prop as well!
Thanks so much for coming by! Hope you have a great rest of the week!
Also, I’d love for you to follow me on Bloglovin or subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss a post!

Those are so pretty. I love colors. Those chairs probably came from the Salvation Army. But, that makes them more special.

How cute! I was on the lookout for some wood folding chairs this past summer to replace the plastic ones I threw away. They were gross after years of being outside and I wanted something that would be easy to store. I never thought about metal chairs…..They may be easier to find since I never did find four matching wood ones. I love that really closeup picture of the chairs with the sky in the background! And can I just say, that I love that you are sharing some older posts at our party….It is getting me caught up on what I didn’t see in the past π
Thanks so much Jamie! I bet you could find old metal ones at a garage sale or antique place! So glad you stopped by! xo
I’m totally doing this to our metal chairs!
Good luck Havalah! So fun to use these colors!
