Happy Friday Friends!
Who’s happy it’s the weekend? My hands are both up! It’s kind of an early weekend here as there’s no school today, plus my husband is off! Hope you all have a very wonderful one, whether you’re enjoying a last bit of summer weather, or some cooler feels-like-fall days!
I’ve been pulling out some fall dΓ©cor here and there and even made a new wreath that I shared a few weeks ago. You can check it out here in case you missed it.
This summer I bought these decorative jars filled with sand and tea lights at Ross’s. They were perfect for the deck but when I saw Kelly at Live Laugh Rowe post her Pottery Barn knock off hanging mason jars, I instantly knew these jars would work perfectly for that. If you’ve never checkout out this sweet lady’s blog, you have to go visit it! She shares lots of other amazing DIY!
Here’s what I used to fill my jars but you can fill yours with whatever you’d like. I didn’t end up paying a penny for this dΓ©cor as I had everything on hand already. A few years back we visited Amish country in Berlin, Ohio and these mini pumpkins and dried berries were everywhere! I fell in love with their cuteness and am so glad I brought some home with me! They were perfect for this! For the third jar, I used popcorn kernels.
For the candles, I used Bath and Body Works mini ones. I always have lots on hand and they’re my favorite candles ever. You could use little glass jars as well and put votives or tea lights in them, too.
I love how these turned out and they look so cozy burning on our new fireplace mantle! Have you decorated for fall yet? I’d love to hear what you’ve done… leave me a comment below please. I love hearing from my readers!
Enjoy your weekend!

Hi Kendra! I’m so excited about your jars π Thanks so much for giving me a shout out as well. Have a lovely weekend!
Thanks Kelly! I loved yours so much π So happy you came by and hope your weekend is great as well!
Oh, I love those mini pumpkins and dried berries! They just speak “fall” to me. π Good thing you thought to pick some up when you were visiting Amish country! I love how the jars turned out! I haven’t started decorating for fall quite yet. Well…technically, I do have that cute Dollar Tree pumpkin sitting out and a pumpkin dish towel, but that’s about it for now. I’ll probably wait a little longer, hoping it will cool down a bit. π
Thanks Lisa! It’s back to summer temps here but our week-long rainy weather sure got me in the fall mood! π I can’t wait to see your fall decor… I’m sure it’ll be lovely! Thanks so much for stopping by and hope your week is wonderful!
So cute!! I love those jars and the mini pumpkins are adorable!!
Thanks Amy! π I love those little pumpkins too! Hope your week is great!

Thanks Nicole! I think they’re so darn cute too π Enjoy your day!
These look terrific!! It’s so nice to re-use seasonal items like this – who knew that changing out the sand would make them so “new” again?
Thank you Heather! I’m so happy it’s one less seasonal decor I have to pack away! Ope your week is great and thanks for coming by π
What a great idea! These turned out so cute!
Thanks Katie! So glad you stopped by π
These are SUPER cute Kendra! I’m dying to see them in front of your new fireplace!!!
Thanks so much Kristi!! I’m thinking I’ll just have to post that fireplace without curtains up in the living room π Thanks so much for coming by!
Oh they look great and I like your “Fall” fillins!
Thanks Heather! Have a great week π
These are adorable!! I love how incredibly simple they are. I always try too hard to decorate and think outside the box for holidays, but sometimes simple is just so much better!! π
Thanks Amanda! Love how simple this is, too! Hope your week’s going great!
I love these! the handles on the mason jars add a little character to them.
Thank you Bex! Have a great day!
Kendra I love these! I am really liking the popcorn kernal look this fall… and the berries and pumpkins are so adorable too! I could use some recommendations on some good fall scented candles… what are your favorite?
Thanks Sydney! Yes, I think the kernels are so neat to add to dΓ©cor! My all time favorite candles are Bath and Body Works ones, especially their fall ones … I’ll send you an email in the morning π Thanks for coming by!
OH MY GOODNESS <3
I don't normally do a lot of DIY projects, mainly because I don't have the patience lol, BUT this is the first project I've seen that I KNOW I have to do! I love how elegant they look, and it's the perfect thing to create for this fall season. Thank you so much, Kendra π
Thanks McKenna! Glad it’s inspired you to make your own :)Thanks so much for stopping by!
I love this idea of making hanging thingies for your mason jars. When I first saw the photos I didn’t even notice you had made them yourself. I thought the jars just came that way. they look terrific…. π
