It’s officially time for holiday baking and all the Christmas treats!
Today I’m so excited to be joining a cookie blog hop hosted by Jo-Anna from A Pretty Life. If you’ve never visited her blog, you must… not only is her home beautiful, but her food photography is amazing!
There’s 12 of us Canadian gals sharing some sweet treats from our kitchens. You can find all the yummy cookie recipes at the end of this post!Cookies are a big hit in our home and usually it’s my husband and daughter baking our favorite gingersnap cookies this time of year. However, for this blog hop I thought I’d share a new favorite – Chocolate Peppermint Biscotti. As our son was munching one, he declared “these are my new favorite cookies.”
I’m pretty sure I agree.
The rich chocolate taste is incredible and the hint of peppermint is the perfect pairing. And now that winter is here, I’m a tea drinker again and I find that’s the perfect accompia or maybe you’d rather a cup of eggnog? Either way, if you want to add a new cookie to your holiday baking, give these a try!
We baked the “loaves” on silicone mats and if you don’t own any of these for baking, I cannot say enough about them! A couple of weeks ago my friend showed me a picture of some cookies that hadn’t turned out and I felt more sorry for her for the time she’d spend scrubbing the pan. I recommended these mats to her and she bought them the next day and has raved about them ever since. We’ve had them for a few years and anyone who bakes needs some of these. (They’d also make excellent gifts so grab a set here!)

I’d love to know if you’ve ever tried making biscotti? We’re on a roll now and want to try a few other combinations! Like orange and cranberries? Or gingerbread? But in the meantime, here’s lots more cookies to keep you in your kitchen!
